Thanks! :) I have some very lovely pictures of the Brewer twins that leaves nothing to the imagination, they are my inspiration for Dante and Darius in Captivations, and yes there is a chapter with explicit twincest! I happen to like happy endings and monogamous men (and women, in m/f), but everyone should be allowed to read what they like. Diversity makes the world go round!

Thanks for stopping by, L!Julie Lynn Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03574029767523627749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033378840776537267.post-7394924724853715362011-06-08T14:20:37.260-05:002011-06-08T14:20:37.260-05:00Great blog post Julie, Well I love the twincest an...Great blog post Julie, Well I love the twincest and don't really see enough out there:-)I'm with you I may not read all of the Taboo's but I think it should be out there for people who enjoy it. I just enjoy a book with two hot men. I'm finding that I'm liking just the two guys, I'll read a book with three or more but I'm enjoying couples more now. I still like that there's a choice though.Leaundrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02937750544655541550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033378840776537267.post-11644264767968278722011-06-08T14:12:57.477-05:002011-06-08T14:12:57.477-05:00Hi GA! But controversy sells! Just ask Salman Rushdie! If the book stores would place m/m romance right beside the romance section they now have, I'd be happy. I don't even care if they integrate them - less to look through to find the author you want!

Thanks for stopping by!Julie Lynn Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03574029767523627749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033378840776537267.post-47868198463488144752011-06-08T13:32:21.409-05:002011-06-08T13:32:21.409-05:00Great blog! I can't tell you how much I agree with your taboos and the fact that publishers shy away from anything 'controversial', yet, allow all that you said- rape, serial killers, brutal torture, because, you see, in our sick society, violence is fine. But have twins kiss? The whole world gets turned on its head. I have dabbled in taboos as well. And though I don't condone anything non-consensual, I do think fiction should be allowed to take us places we have never been. Isn't that the whole point? I admire you, Julie, and any other author who isn't afraid to push boundaries. Reading these things does not in any way mean we condone them. I've seen all the Saw films, but I don't have an uncontrollable urge to hurt people. And the taboos being all sex related is no accident, it's the morality police coming into play! As for Adam and Eve, my answer is easy - they are a myth, a couple that stands for the first people, but not something to be accepted as fact. After all, and I know people will disagree, the Bible is still just a book, written by men.

Thanks for stopping by!Julie Lynn Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03574029767523627749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033378840776537267.post-14692148322847193322011-06-08T11:01:30.691-05:002011-06-08T11:01:30.691-05:00Very interesting post! I find your remark about incest very interesting, I asked myself before how, if you believe in Adam and Eve, all these people could be here without incest..
LuciaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033378840776537267.post-30351900735166487342011-06-08T07:58:03.894-05:002011-06-08T07:58:03.894-05:00TY for giving such a great post!TY for giving such a great post!S.Lirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17787307019842983456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033378840776537267.post-25435058596222515092011-06-08T07:49:47.445-05:002011-06-08T07:49:47.445-05:00Good morning, Angel!

At least in fantasy.

Exactly! Cleopatra is one example of that, which probably means it was a Greek thing, more than an Egyptian one.

Thanks for stopping by, Angel!Julie Lynn Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03574029767523627749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033378840776537267.post-65689791387379184862011-06-08T06:01:38.592-05:002011-06-08T06:01:38.592-05:00Hi Julie! The call of the forbidden is deeply ingrained in the human psyche, that little voice that whispers *go on, I dare you*

Incest is an interesting cultural stumbling block since some ancient cultures not only encouraged but insisted upon it for their royalty. Pharaoh marries his sister - why? Because only a goddess should marry a god.Angel Martinezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16083874247515480776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1033378840776537267.post-73507630209249046612011-06-08T00:22:25.138-05:002011-06-08T00:22:25.138-05:00Rawiya, you flatter me greatly and make me blush! ...Rawiya, you flatter me greatly and make me blush!
