Thursday 13 - Top 13 Albums

Good morning fans!

Welcome to Michael's! I, the head along with the muses, are doing Thursday 13 today and I decided to do my top 13 music albums. A lot of them might be personal faves of yours too, maybe not. *laughs* but these are the ones I'll always regard as my favorites because I could listen to them repeatedly and not skip any tracks.

This album here is the latest Duran Duran album, All You Need is Now.

It's definitely in my tops but might not be in the 13 yet!

* * * * *

1. The Duran Duran Self Titled - One of my faves definitely. It was their first, songs like Planet Earth, Sound of Thunder, Careless Memories, Tel Aviv one of the B-Sides. I love all their albums but this remains my favorite.

2. Depeche Mode  Violator- I love DM almost as much as I love Duran Duran. So many of their albums are in my top but I love this one the most. From the first song, World in my Eyes which is my fave all the way to Clean, a lot of inspirational music here. I lot of their so called commercial hits came off this album. I was a fan before this one but this is my fave. Every song is fab!

3. Metallica The Black Album - I love ones before it but in my opinion, most of their best songs are on this one.  One, Sad But True, Whenever I May Roam. The last album before they lost focus and went south musically.

4. Led Zepplin Physical Graffiti - Yes, its before my time. I wasn't born when it came
out but I love this record! It contains my favorite songs Kashmir, I know cliche but it is my fave and Houses of the Holy. I just love listening to it. I plan to buy it on vinyl one day. I only have it on cassette now.

5. Megadeth So Far So Good So What  - I love Megadeth and all their albums but this one was my fave. Funny thing is, I hated metal back in high school. o.0 However, once I became a metal fan, this was one of the first I fell in love with. The title song, Set the World Afire, Mary Jane, some of my personal fave tracks. Love Dave Mustaine!

6. Megadeth Rust in Peace   - I put my two fave Megadeth albums together because I can listen to both from beginning to end. 5 Magics, Holy Wars, Take No Prisoners, Lucretia! I love this record! *throws up horns*

7. DD Seven and the Ragged Tiger - Oh looky here, i'm original aren't I? I put my second fave DD album at number 7 and part of the title has a 7 in it. I'm telling you, I didn't intend for it to happen that way!

New Moon on Monday, Reflex, Seventh Stranger, Tiger Tiger, I Take the Dice, and Cracks in the Pavement, only a few highlights on the album I adore by my faves. I can listen to it repeatedly on loop and not get tired!

8. Opeth Blackwater Park - I love this album. For those of you who don't know Opeth, Swedish progressive metal is what they're categorized. I listen to this album regularly. It's one of their first and offers so much if you're a big metal fan or not. His voice, his growls. Tunes like the title, Leper Affinity, Drapery Falls, Patterns in the Ivy. OMG, I could listen to it all day! Again, on the loop.

9.Guns and Roses - Appetite for Destruction - I love GNR and this one is my fave. Its too bad the band couldn't survive their differences to still make some great music because this one was their finest. Sweet Child of Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, Mr. Brownstone, Paradise City, Rocket Queen. I don't have a song on here that I don't like!

10. Motley Crue Dr. Feelgood - Yeah, they made more good songs before this but it was their tightest album in my opinion. Dr. Feelgood, Kickstart My Heart, Slice of Your Pie, Rattlesnake Shake. Yes, Im an 80's child, yes this appeals to my glam rock senses! LOL

11. CKTC Keep Your Distance - A lot of you may say, oh you're reaching here but the criteria in picking my fave ALBUMS is records I can listen to without groaning, all the way through.

So, you dunno who Curiosity Killed the Cat is? British band who matched up a little jazz, some fab voice, and some kicking lyrics. Every song on this album I can listen to over and over. Know What You Know, Free, Misfit, Ordinary Day. I love them all. They appealed to my softer side.

12. Death Angel Act III - Here goes my metal side again speaking!

I love Death Angel. Thrash Band from California. They are one of the metal pioneers and are still touring today. Act III was the album that got them some commercial acclaim. Seemingly Endless Time, The Organization, A Room With a View, Stagnant! OMG! BL is throwing the horns. Its definitely in my tops on the listening list!

13. Prong Beg to Differ - Again, my metal side speaks loudest! I love Prong. Tommy Victor's band from NY is an old fave and along with Death Angel and DRI, one of the first thrash metal bands I adored and still do. Beg to Differ was their first, got them some play on MTV. The bastards even took Lost and Found and made it part of Headbangers Ball. o.0

Anyway, this is my fave Prong album. The title track, Lost and Found, Steady Decline, Take it in Hand, Right to Nothing. Wow, what an album. Makes you want to thrash. Seriously, really does!

And that's it! I know others could have been in here but these are the first ones that came to mind. Do you have some I should have put ahead of these? Let me know. The muses and I collectively came up with them so you might disagree. Its cool, leave us your thoughts!

Hope you enjoyed. We'll see you tomorrow for the first free read!

Thursday 13 - Our Favorite Models

Good morning!

Welcome to Michael's where we're doing the Thursday 13 about our favorite Models!

The gals and I along with the head, always find pictures to look at and enjoy putting them in a story.

We love it, especially when its one we are using for the first time.

This one, Anderson Dornelles, I'll be using in a story about a Brazilian all male love tribe that turns hetero men gay. *laughs* I don't have all the details, haven't even wrote it down, but I do know this one will be in it.

So who have we already used? Let me show you our faves from 13 to 1

* * * *

13. Anderson Cooper - Used in Binding Justice as Gabriel, Sire's friend, most recently in You Dont Ask by BL as the General and he'll be the gay senator in The Incumbent. A story that I've wanted to write for a while and my next story Captain of His Heart.

12. Adrian Paul - So far, I've only used him in African Sun as the new Doctor, Devlin Masterson

11. Bobby Momenteller - So far, BL has used him in a story called Panties in a Bunch that was recently submitted but as you know the muses love more tales. He will be used in my Brazilian love spell story.

10. David Gandy - I used David for African Sun as Frederick, my heroine, Sakina's new lover but he is also Dari Kirk in BL's You Don't Ask.

9. George Clooney - I used George in African Sun as my other heroine, Rhoda's love interest, Philip. He was killed off kind of quickly since he was a double agent. *snicker* His next story is The Incumbent. He'll be Anderson's character adversary.

8. Marcus Patrick - Marcus is in Rawiya's upcoming story, Smooth Like Latte and in a short she is planning on writing called Slow Hand. I know I'll have a use for him too.

7. Simon Lebon - Simon I used as Sire Jacobs in Binding Justice and I use him in Walking the Plank as a pirate. Yar! *grins* It's the beard! He's also in a story Rawiya is writing. A May/Dec story and he is Charlie in African Sun series.

6. Dave Gahan - Dave is the evil Maddox in the African Sun Series, he's also in BL's You Don't Ask. He'll also be in my upcoming story, Through the Darkness I Found Love as a serial killer. *whew*

5. Boris Kodjoe - He's one of our faves definitely. He's in BL's My Lieutenant, he's Derwyn in Rawiya's Masquerade, he's opposite Anderson in The Incumbent and don't let me forget, in BL's You Don't Ask as first in command, Darios Bright.

4. Jason Momoa - We use him alot! He's in BL's You Don't Ask, He's in Mi Familia as Diante' and Rawiya will be writing him in a story called Rescue Me. We love the man! There are other stories he's been in too.

3. David Taylor - Again, we use David a lot. He's in my new story, My Sexy Vampire, in Vertigo, Mi Familia, BL's You Don't Ask. *Whew* Its the eyes and that gorgeous face.

2. Greg Plitt - I used him in Mi Familia as Vince, BL Used him in You Don't Ask as Captain Morrie Dirksen. Of Course, in A Different Kind of Family Portrait. I'll also be using him in Captain of His Heart as Anderson' ex.
1. John Taylor - Even though he's not the head's fave Duran, he is the number one muse. All his looks over the years seem to fit a story. He's William in My Sexy Vamp, he's my Doc in Vertigo, he's Adrian in Lose Myself, Nathan in BL's My Lieutenant, Matthias in Rawiya's Masquerade, and of course, Parker in My Professor. Oh he;s played many more parts but if I mentioned them all it would take the rest of this page. *laughs*

There are others and if you look through the blog, you'll see them.

Being a writer is so much fun when you can pick up pictures or gain inspiration from songs or movies. We take it to a new level with picking characters and we enjoy it almost as much as writing.

Hope you enjoyed this lovely fun post. Be sure to join BL at The Romance Studio and Coffeetime Romance today with the rest of the Rebel crew.

Have a great Thursday!

Thursday Thirteen - The Top 13 Gay Celebs

Greetings to all! Welcome to the Thursday 13. Rawiya/BL and I will be switching this up every week. Really tough to come up with something different every week. However, this was easy. To name the top gay male celebs. Ones I see made an impact by coming out and not hiding anymore. Some took longer than others but I believe that people in the know revealing their sexuality gives hope to our youths.

Any particular order either. Have a look and then comment if you like with more.

1. Adam Lambert - Didn't shy away from the questions once someone took his picture kissing another man. He's a great talent, an activist, and he's hot!

2. Anderson Cooper - This man is amazing. Journalist extraordinaire, so incredibly dashing. I watch CNN only to look and listen to him.

3. Chris Salvatore - Actor, singer, mode, social activist. Best known for the movie Eating Out Sloppy Seconds

4. Ricky Martin - Singer Took him a while and a lot of people suspected it but I'm glad he finally came out.

5. Don Lemon - Journalist and activist. I admire any black man that comes out knowing the pressure on blacks to be in the background is more than their white or other minority peers. (My opinion)

6. Neil Patrick Harris - Actor I love Neil as well as the fact he and his partner are raising kids. Beautiful

7. Elton John - Performer, Legend. Activist, was always supportive of his community.

8. George Michael - Well, this one was tough because he's not really great but a great talent. It took him a while to come out and he's been caught doing a couple of erm questionable things. I still love him though

9. John Amechi - Athlete Author Again, I admire any black man that comes out the closet (see Don Lemon) But also the added burden of being an athlete and holding that in inside the locker room had to be torture. I want to get his book.

10. Billy Bean Fmr Baseball player Owner A lot of courage to come out after he retired. He is now a successful businessman I believe with the Oakland A's

11. Richard Chamberlin - One of my fave actors and when he revealed his orientation I was thrilled. He's such a talent!

Todd Oldham - Talented fashion designer and activist

13. TR Knight - Actor.  Loved him in Grey's Anatomy.

I know there are more but these are my personal faves. Who are yours?

Hope you enjoyed!
