Wednesday Briefs #44 - Sire and Justice

Greetings folks.

Sire and Justice are really building a story here.

I hope you are enjoying it!

Today's prompt is a character crying.

Character Crying

“Mmph.” Justice held onto his lover as if his life depended on it. He sighed deeply, trying to hold back the tears starting to fall from his eyelids. He’d done it. Justice made himself relevant in Sire’s life and all he needed to do now was convince his Sire to make that next step. Though Sire seemed to be backtracking on the agreement they’d made months ago, Justice was still happy at how much progress they’d made in this short time period.

Sire’s azure eyes met Justice’ gaze. He kissed him lightly on the lips. “What’s wrong, lover? Why the tears?” Sire gently brushed his calloused hand against Justice’ face. “I thought you’d be happy to be with me long term.”

Justice sniffed and chuckled through the moisture pouring form his eyelids. He moistened his lips and gulped hard. His mouth felt like sandpaper. “Oh, of course I am Sire. I’m just in shock. I mean−” Justice straightened himself on Sire’s lap and laid his head onto Sire’s. “I’ve been wondering if you’d ever acknowledge the way we feel about one another, I mean, I know you loved your wife and all and um.” Justice stopped himself a moment to make sure the thought he was trying to convey didn’t come across all wrong. “I didn’t want to try replacing her, I just wanted to be important to you.”

“And you are.” Sire lifted Justice’ chin and placed small pecks on the trail of tears. “You are very special to me. You’ll never replace anything I had with Tawnya. What we have is unique and beautiful. I love you just the same but I’m treating the two loves as very different situations. Tawyna was my life partner as a young man and now I have you as an older man. I would consider myself very lucky to have fallen in love with two very lovely people.” Sire ran his hands over Justice’ silk shirt, tracing the ruffles one by one. “You’re my partner, my helper, my confidant. You’re my man, Justice. With this bracelet it means we’re committed and like I said, it doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to make that next step, I only want you to realize how D/s isn’t the whole thing in our relationship. It’s only part of it. It’s an enhancement.”

Justice nodded and dropped his head, somewhat disappointed in Sire’s answer. Didn’t Sire realize that Justice craved for the D/s to be more than just part of their commitment? He wanted to live it to its fullest. He desired for his Sire to test his abilities, push him to the limits, take him to new heights that he knew only Sire could take him in. Going to the munches weren’t just entertainment for him, they were a learning experience. He wished Sire would take a more active role in showing him the importance of discipline and authority then coat it with love. It wasn’t a game to him it was part of what he wanted out of their life together.

I hope he sees where I’m coming from.

“Justice? Do you feel better now, love?” Sire raised his bushy eyebrows and curled his arms around Justice’ waist. “Do you understand what I’m trying to say?”

Justice reciprocated the small kiss Sire gave him and rested his hands on his old man’s broad shoulders. He enjoyed that deep voice with the British accent asking him how he was feeling and being all nice but not as much as the tough talk laced with expletives that Sire used when he wanted something right then. It was more than just the way he said it but how he showed his anger if things weren’t done just so. Until Sire, Justice had never known this side of him that wanted to be spanked, bound, and forced to wait to climax. He’d always looked for a more mature man to love him and Sire was that man who introduced him to a world he never thought he’d take so much pleasure in.

Recalling the first couple of nights they played, Justice sighed and shrugged his shoulders. He softly ran his hand over Sire’s face and kissed the tip of his nose. “I do, Sire, I just want you to realize how important all this is to me and how I look forward to it being a bigger part of our lives.” And he did even if it meant doing something wrong on purpose just to see his personal drill sergeant in action.

Justice felt he was never cut out for military life since he often thought of himself as a wimp but with Sire as his lover he could have part of that along with the nurturing lover he’d always been searching for.

Wednesday Briefs #43 Sire and Justice

Good morning

I';m participating in the Wednesday Briefs once again, playing with Sire and Justice

And I love the way the story is developing into a more complete tale.

Today we're using this prompt

Justice grabbed the mug from the table and fixed Sire’s coffee as he liked; black with 3 cubes of sugar. He released a breath, happy that the mug hadn’t really been displaced. Not only that, he’d made his Sire happy which meant he’d be close to what he really wanted; complete acceptance, total love, and a collar. The ultimate gift for any sub was to be collared by their dom. Justice wanted this most of all and he hoped his efforts to be the perfect sub wouldn’t go unnoticed.

“Here you are, Sire.” Justice placed the mug on the side of his plate. “Just as you like. Is there anything else?” Justice waited for Sire to tell him to sit. He’d been up most of the morning making sure everything was spic and span, exactly to his liking.

Sire looked up at him and waved out his hand towards the chair opposite him. “No luv, please…relax. I know you’ve been working very hard and besides, I have something to give you.”

Justice smiled wide and pulled out the chair, settling in. His feet ached from running around looking for the mug and cleaning all morning. He closed his eyes when his butt hit the chair and waited with anticipation to see what Sire was going to give him. Could it be a collar? A ring? No, Sire isn’t the type to marry me again is he? Well damn, gay marriage did become legal here in Illinois. Justice would be overly happy if Sire did make that commitment to him but with a collar…yes that would be better than a ring. “Oh Sire…you… I’m sorry, can I speak?”

Sire reached in his pocket and pulled out a small box. “Of course, luv. You’re relaxing now that means you relax as a sub too. As long as you don’t get out of line then there is no problem.” Sire reached across the table and grabbed onto Justice hand. He lightly dragged his nails along Justice’ skin and toyed with his fingers. “Sometimes you take this submissive role to the hilt. I mean, I know we like to play that way but… some of it gets a little much, right? The last munch we went to was, well more than enough. I’m happy to have you as my sub but some of the D/s relationship goes too far.”

Justice sucked in a breath, loving the way Sire touched him. So gentle, so erotic. His cock hardened in his jeans just thinking of what Sire would do to him after he finished breakfast. Justice was so lost in what Sire was doing, he totally missed what Sire was trying to say. “Forgive me Sire, I missed what you said. I was caught up in the moment. You’re making me horny.”

Sire flashed a wicked smile and wiped his mouth with his napkin without letting go. When he finished, he took both of Justice’ palms and gently kissed his knuckles. “My love, I am your Sire, your dom, but more importantly, I am your lover. It is true, I do expect to be cared for a certain kind of way but a lot of what they preach at the munches we attended from time to time is a little too much for me. By no means am I saying it’s wrong because I know it is a way that some people express their love for the person they adore. It is not my way though, Justice. We play the game, yes, I like some things; the restraints, the hot wax, keeping you from cumming, I love all of that. However, I have no wishes to go any further, just as we chatted about in the beginning.”

“Yes Sire. There are things I’m not into as well. I mostly crave the discipline.” Justice straightened his shoulders, trying to stay attentive to what Sire was saying despite his touches.

“And I have no problem giving it to you.” Sire’s blue eyes met Justice’ gaze. He planted soft kisses on Justice’ fingertip and followed those with licks. “You are my lover, first and foremost, Justice and because you are exactly what I’ve asked for, I wanted you to have this.” Sire let go and reached for the box, placing it in front of Justice. “You have earned this, my love. However, this is only the beginning.”

Justice nodded and his eyes dropped to the black, velvet box. It looked about the right size for the collar but they’d only been seeing one another for a year. He thought it was a little too soon to receive that ultimate gift.

“Justice?” Sire cocked an eyebrow. “Lover, please open it. I told you to relax.”

Justice’ heart thudded against his ribs. His mouth tasted like sandpaper. Oh what is it? I can’t be disappointed if he doesn’t collar me? He loves me, I know he does but… like he just said, it is just the beginning. It’s something before the collaring. Justice gulped hard and gripped the box firmly in hand. He ran his finger across the top, loving the feel of velvet against his flesh. A part of him didn’t want to open it just so he wouldn’t get overly upset if it wasn’t what he craved. Bracing himself, he cleared his throat and pulled it open. “Oh… Sire, it’s lovely.” No it wasn’t the collar but instead a beautiful silver bracelet with charms of everything he loved; books, motorbikes, music, along with a heart and key. “Sire, you…you shouldn’t have.” Justice picked it up, holding it in front of his face. “What is the key and heart for my Sire?”

“Well my love, only you have the key to my heart.” Sire took the bracelet and unhooked it. “I didn’t think anyone would ever have my heart after my dearest Tawnya passed away but I was clearly mistaken.” He closed the clasp and kissed Justice’ wrist before making a trail up his arm. “I love you, Justice more than anything.” Sire yanked him into his lap, urging him to sit.

Justice did that and reciprocated the kiss. He thrust his tongue into Sire’s mouth, fighting for prominence. “I love you too, my Sire.” Justice groaned into his embrace. And I will never, ever love another.”

Bound for Romance - Binding Justice

Morning readers. I'll be bringing these characters back for the Wednesday Briefs. Not sure for how long but a couple of the prompts jumped out at me for their story.

Who are they? Sire and Justice from the story Binding Justice in the Bound for Romance anthology. This awesome collection was released in July 2011 from Sizzler Editions under editor Sascha Illyvich. Four stories about BDSM, romance, and erotica all rolled up into one.

My story, Binding Justice is a May/December romance about an older hobbled man, Sire Jacobs, who lost his wife to cancer and wants someone to assist him. When visited by an old friend, Sire is reminded about his desires to be with another man and is asked to explore the fantasies with a young man who'd liven up his sex life and help him as he wants. What he doesn't expect is falling completely in love with Jarvis Densley, renamed Justice and instead of the man just being a partner and assistant, he's become an obsession.

Here is a snippet from the only m/m romance story in the collection.

With the help of his cane, Sire got up from his recliner. He pushed the button on the remote before walking to his bedroom where he looked at the empty bed. He hadn't been able to sleep comfortably in the room since Tawyna died because he missed her warm body. It was the room she took her last breath. The disease was so far along the doctors told her it was best to rest at home and allow nature to take its course.
It had been three weeks. Sire felt like it had been much longer. He missed her so much; the feel of her skin, her long black hair. She was beautiful all the way up to the day she died, even with the horrible menace eating away at her.
"I'll be in heaven watching over you, Sire…" she'd say when they took one of their last walks together. Sire smiled to himself when thinking of her delicate grin.
I can't do this.
Sire went a door down to the guest room where he'd been sleeping since that dreadful day. He couldn't bring himself to be in their bedroom, especially since he hadn't gone through her belongings. He couldn't bear to touch anything. He left it as if she were still living.
After undressing, Sire limped over to the half made bed, sitting lightly on the mattress before lying back on the pillow. Once he set his clock for seven, he turned in the direction of the window.
A small tear fell from his eyes when thinking of his companion for the last twenty years. He missed Tawnya Churchton Jacobs more and more everyday and he knew he'd never find another person to replace her. Trying to deal with the fact he may be alone depressed him.
Who wants this old man anyway?

"No one."

Check out the Wednesday briefs tomorrow for a brand new short involving these characters as well as other magnificent authors writing free fiction for you to enjoy

Welcome MA Church!

Good morning. Its been a while since I had guests. Please welcome MA Church to the party.

Wrapped in Leather #5 Love of Leather

Fear can be a potent aphrodisiac.
~ Kele Moon

The distinct smell of leather has many traits. It can evoke memories of the best moments in life. Scent is a well-known trigger for memory. Leather can also be soft, yet exciting. Enticing. The richness of its scent can tease the senses, drawing out primitive reactions. The smell is alluring, beguiling. The strength of leather, the comfort it offers by its proximity to the body, can be reassuring, even while shivers erupt along the skin as it wraps around a wrist, ankle, or neck. Need floods the body as thick cuffs are secured, triggering that sense of helplessness and immobility. Leather can excite… being so natural, and again, so very sensual. Warm.

The scent of leather falls somewhere between masculine and feminine tones. Leather is one of the earliest notes in perfumery, rooted in the tradition of Gantiers Parfumeurs, a guild of Parisian glove makers who made leather gloves for the aristocracy. Scents like oils, musk, ambergris, and civet were used to mask the nauseating smell of dead animal skin. This re-odorized scent is actually what today describes our notion of the smell of leather.

Blurb:To celebrate his decision to take the next step with his boyfriend Ian, Toshi Baylor plans a romantic evening at their favorite steak house. Toshi starts the special weekend with a bang by surprising Ian at home with lunch. There’s a bang all right, but it’s between Ian and another guy.

Jase Taylor’s auto repair shop and the BDSM club, Wrapped Up, keep him busy while he waits for Mr. Right, instead of Mr. Right Now. He’s a Dom, but playing with the club’s submissives isn’t providing the usual stress release. After a day from hell, he deserves a good meal at his favorite steak house.

Toshi and Jase find a mix-up with their reservations: a table for Baylor, not Taylor. When Toshi invites Jase to dine with him, they discover a mutual affection for leather and a shared belief that trust must be earned.

Before they can explore their common interests, Toshi suffers a series of attacks by vandals. Jase’s protective instincts kick in, but both wonder if it can lead to anything permanent.

Excerpt:
What a day from hell it’d been.
Toshi glanced through his windshield. Storm clouds, thick with rain, rolled across the heavens, rapidly blocking out the sun in their bid for ownership of the skies. Strong winds battered the car, shrieking viciously as they slammed against the small vehicle. Lightning streaked across the sky. The bolt jumped from cloud to cloud as trees swayed, limbs reaching out in morbid submission to the howling winds.
And it looked like hell wasn’t quite through slinging shit, either.
Boy, the weatherman sure missed the mark for today. A small chance of rain had turned into “going to rain its ass off” at any moment. That was the joy of living in the South—if you didn’t like the weather, just wait a moment and it would change.
“Hold off just a little while longer, just a few minutes longer. Please. I just had my car detailed.”
Toshi exited the interstate, heading toward the less populated area of the city where he lived. As city gave away to country, Toshi checked the skies again. When this hit, it was going to be nasty. Which was fitting—nasty weather for a nasty day. He loved spring, but he didn’t love this kind of weather. Frankly, he was ready for some warmer temperatures—and it was only the middle of March. Guess the kids were lucky Spring Break was last week.
Toshi stopped at his mailbox. He stepped out of his small car and grabbed whatever was inside, not bothering to look. The first splatter of raindrops hit him. He jumped back in his car and slammed the door before the wind could tear it off and hurl it away. Toshi pressed on the gas and hurried down the long drive to his house. The garage door creaked its way up, each passing second bringing the threat of rain closer. Just as he pulled in, the skies opened up and the rain came down with a vengeance.
“Ha! And with seconds to spare.” Toshi turned the car off and gathered his stuff. At least he’d managed to avoid getting his car wet. It was a small victory, but after the day he’d had, he’d take what he could get. Toshi let himself in, mail in hand.
“Junk mail, junk mail, bills… and—oh joy—more bills.”
Toshi threw the stack of mail on the kitchen table, along with his briefcase, and loosened his tie. I’m so glad this day’s over. First, he’d had to rush since he’d overslept—meaning he’d only had one cup of coffee before he left the house, which was never a good thing.
The next crisis involved tracking down his keys, then hurrying to work, only to end up behind someone going ten miles under the speed limit. He arrived at the high school parking lot, parked, and clocked in. He'd hurried to his hall, and the first thing he heard was the wave of noise coming from a classroom… his classroom, as it turned out.
Another teacher was standing in the hall, trying to watch his class and hers until he arrived. The temptation to turn around and walk right back out of the building was great. He was only thirty minutes late, but his students were already climbing the walls. After calming the kids down, he started them on their assigned reading and finally managed to sit—only to knock his coffee over some papers he had yet to grade.
That was all before nine in the morning. The day could only get better. Or so he'd thought until another teacher reminded him they had an after-school meeting. He wanted to scream. The meeting, of course, lasted much longer than needed.
Now he was standing in his kitchen trying to figure out what to cook for dinner. Nothing looked good, and he was tired, dammit. Gods, would this day never end?

Book Review: Faelon by AJ Kelton

Book Review: Faelon
AJ Kelton

Greetings readers. I recently read the book Faelon by AJ Kelton and I was super excited to do so. A book about a nephilim, a three thousand year old immortal who tries to live in modern day. Just the premise of it excited me, especially since I love stories about angels and demons. However, in my opinion, the story fell flat and because of a few of glaring errors, I can’t rate it above a 2.5.

First the positives. The author paints a beautiful picture of this angel, Faelon who’s been abused for centuries. His black wings, he’s half human, half angel and being chased by a demon called Cayman makes for an awesome story. Then there’s the other man, Jax, who’s a security guard, a historian who comes to know Faelon and once he gets over the initial shock of the black wings, seems to fall in love with him. Again, makes for a great story right? Well yes but I feel the author missed out on some great opportunities for a more enjoyable piece.

The negatives in my opinion were distractions for this book. The POV head hopping which happened way too often in the book. When the first occurred I had to go back and make sure I wasn’t seeing the wrong thing. Sort of took me out of the story. Also, I felt the characters fell short of being brilliant. In my opinion, Faelon and Jax weren’t complete. We’re beaten over the head with the fact Faelon is a sex slave, loves it rough, and seems to need this abuse to feel wanted. Since I’m not into extreme BDSM, some of the things Faelon went through troubled me. It’s not the author’s fault at all that it’s not my cuppa. However, my major problem was the character Jax and how the seemingly mild mannered security guard became a dom, doing things to Faelon that bordered on abuse. I got that Faelon was immortal and could take a lot of it but I felt some of the actions by Jax were forced. From what the author showed, he just didn’t seem like the kind of person to be doing these things. Perhaps easing us into his transformation with a couple of light acts then a gradual change to experienced dom would’ve worked better. Again, it’s only my opinion but once I got to the middle of the book, I felt like it was torture just for the sake of shock value. I found myself skimming through the sex scenes to get to the next part.

Lastly the very confusing turn of events at the end. He unites with his former master Delgorio because he’s terrified of the Cayman and asks for help. The tension between Jax and Delgorio is definitely there and I wanted to know more about their relationship. He seemed to leave as quick as he came which was disappointing. There would’ve been another opportunity for the plot to go deeper but instead the author didn’t explore that more.

I really wanted to like this book. It had promise and an angel who begs to be loved makes for a great novel but this story’s glaring errors and forced sex made me wish for the ending. That being said, I would still like to read the sequel if there is one. I want to know more about Faelon and how he gets away from the Cayman while trying to survive in the modern world with a human lover. Hopefully the author will do build on that more in the next story. If so, I'd gladly give it a look.

2.5 stars

Six Sentence Sunday - Binding Justice

This six sentence is taken from Binding Justice. My entry into the Bondage anthology from Saschal Illyvich featuring Clarice Clique, Em Petrova, and Sarah Bella coming May 29th!

Sire desired Justice in the worst way; the feelings of his sub’s mouth pleasing him weren't enough.

“Get up, Justice. Now!”

“On the bed, hands and legs up!” Sire rolled over, grabbing a toy, a scarf, the rope, and lube. Sire pulled Justice’ wrists, tying them together as well as his ankles.

“Mhmm…Sire, please fuck me.”
